Nervous tension, man’s invention,
Is the biggest killer that’s around today
Let the tension out or it will build and build inside
And strike you down some day

Nowadays, a healthy life is getting harder and harder to obtain; that’s a fact. The food, the constant rush and go-go, the stress and all sort of things make us mentally and phisically tired, fatigue sets in and before you can do anything you’re dragged into a lifestyle which is filled with bad habits. What you should probably do, as take a time off and try to follow these simple steps; you’ve probably heard them lots of time before, but it’s good to have them all in one place, and they’re very useful. The first thing you have to do is be careful with the meat. Giving up meat may be a great idea, if you have a balanced died, and eat soy and other meat replacements, but for most people that’s never gonna happen. If you are one of those people, you should at least be careful with what kind of meat you eat. Hamburgers, fat meat, and other similar types are not good. At least three meals a week should be without meat. Also in the nutrition area, vitamin C is very important, along with folic acid and Zinc. You can find them in fruits, nuts, oysters, and cereals.
Drinking water is something most people underestimate; the organism needs at least a liter of water per day to work properly, and it should be pure water, not mineral. While you’re at it, drink some natural juices too. Natural means you buy the fruits and make juice out of them, because if it’s wrapped, you can be sure it’s not natural, no matter what it says on the box. Also, try to do some effort. Swimming, or aerobic can be good, but if you’d rather not, than just walk a stop by foot, or go up the stairs instead of using the elevator. Studies have shown that it’s very important for people to do some weightlifting. Now don’t start thinking about any fancy stuff; even grocery bags can be counted as weights, as long as they’re not very heavy for you and they’re evenly divided.
Try to take some sleep as often as you can. Even ten minutes of sleep can make your whole day better. If you can’t sleep, than meditate. Meditation makes a huge difference. Just let your mind evade from your body and let it find harmony. You’d be surprised to see how much good it can do you. Another thing which is neglected by almost everybody, is doing what your conscience dicatates. If you do this, you’ll be far less stressed and you’ll be taking responsability for what you do. Even if you don’t want to take responsability, it’s still a good thing to do, because the one person you can never get away from is yourself. If you have an issue with yourself, try to solve it by talking in the mirror. As dumb as it may sound, the results are great. Just look at yourself, and keep an oral diary, or just talk for a minute or two. Hopefully, you’ll find the time and willpower to do at least some of those things. Think of the long term rewards.
